Billy is a Bronx boy who is good at sports and better with the ladies.  He is doing well selling stereos and high-definition TVs at a big chain store when a collision with an off-duty ambulance leaves him with a plate in his head, a limp, and a stutter. After spending months sitting in front of the television, Billy’s best friend forces him to join his bowling team, where he sets a new low for the league average. In the final week, Billy bowls a perfect 300 game, and his story goes national. He is besieged by people eager to turn his life into a movie, a religious group that wants him for their spokesman, and women eager to make Billy happy.  In the end, Billy finds love where he least expects it.
